 e-Team: April 22–May 6, 2002

e-Team was the first e-Learning event offered by the LINK•US Project. Through this professional development opportunity we hoped to recreate, in the virtual world, aspects of the collaborative teamwork that occurred within the STAR Cycle at our participating schools. The event was designed for teachers, specialists, and administrators from our LINK•US sites in Boston, New York Community District 15, and Albuquerque.

e-Team was an any time, any place event, meaning that you could participate any time during April 22–May 6, from any place with Internet access.

The e-Learning event focused on ways to integrate low-, mid-, and high-technology tools into the curriculum. It encouraged participants to start conversations online and continue them during face-to-face team meetings. The goal was for teachers to apply ideas in their classrooms to benefit students with and without disabilities. The success of the event came from teachers, specialists, and administrators who generously shared ideas, tried out new methods, and reflected on their effectiveness.
